This is what sleeping in until 9:30am and an utter refusal to put makeup on or wash my hair (for the fourth day in a row) looks like. It looks like covering my face with giant sunglasses so people still think there might be a pretty face under those glasses (instead of naked eyes and mascara stains on my cheeks). I actually really love wearing this outfit. It's not the fanciest, but it's warm, and it's easy to run errands in these flat-soled boots. And hats are the best way to conceal unwashed hair that you'd rather not destroy another day with a curling iron. Also conceals awful roots well. See? What's not to love about this outfit? Also also, a very rough-looking man in Wal-Mart today loudly gruffed "YEAH, YOU"RE HOT" at me as he passed. So this outfit also serves to garner the best type of attention you can find. At Wal-Mart, anyway.
Gotta love Wally World!!

I'm not gonna lie, you kind of look like some A-Lister trying to hide from the paparazzi :). I like it.

This is so cute! I love your hat and they are perfect for disguising your hair. Also, always quality people at Wal-Mart. Always.
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck, you are so stylish even on your relaxing day!! Never thought to put a blazer over a sweatshirt, that is on my list this week to try, thanks for the idea! :)
ReplyDeleteShut the front door, I did not want to see you looking fabulous on your day off. Seriously, yo.
ReplyDeleteOk, not seriously. I enjoy it all. But it would be more amusing if you were wearing something more, say, People of Wal-Mart-ish.
DeleteFran and I were talking today about another blogger who was wearing a baseball cap and a full face of makeup, high heels, and giant necklace, and it's like WHAT? WHERE ARE YOU GOING? If it's casual enough for a baseball cap, tone down the makeup and heels. If it's fancy enough for heels and giant jewelery, then don't wear a baseball cap! Then I was telling her that if you wanted to wear a baseball cap, then do what Lynette does. Like seriously, this is the perfect casual day off outfit. A cap, sunglasses, and sweatshirt, but then to keep it from getting too sloppy, throwing in a fun blazer and cute boots, and then it's a perfectly pulled together outfit. I LOVE IT.
ReplyDeleteI hate how you look so good all the time.
Hahaha, your "day off" includes a blazer, and mine includes yoga pants and an oversized sweatshirt :) I'm so jealous of those ladies (YOU) who can wear such casual clothes, throw their hair up in a ponytail with a hat, and some sunglasses and still look super cute and adorable! Jealous.
ReplyDeleteHaha, my day off consists of a sports bra, slouchy t-shirt and yoga pants! I think you win for the best looking "day off" outfit ;)
ReplyDeleteCute casual look! I love the hat trick of hiding unwashed hair... and am definitely VERY guilty of it myself!

HAHAH you look great, and this totally made me laugh! I love wearing multi layers with flat riding boots, it looks like you put a lot of effort in but really you didn't and i do the same thing! Glad we both don't wash our hair that often!!

The fact that my "day off" and your "day off" outfits are so vastly different is one of the reasons I follow your blog :) You may not remember me, but we were in choir together a while back. Your blog is awesome!
