Is it spring yet?

These photos were taken just before a ton of snow hit Michigan the day before Christmas. And snow has not stopped hitting us since. I had to fight my way through a bit of a blizzard just to get to work today. And I'm looking at these photos with a tear in my eye, remembering the days of grass, and weather above 30 degrees... Oh, how I miss thee.

Is it spring yet? I honestly went shopping the day after Christmas and bought a pair of sandals and a tank top, knowing good and well that Michigan wasn't going to allow me to wear them for another four months. I just want to wear dresses without tights and tops without 3 layers underneath and heels without this happening:

Look forward to my future outfit posts looking like a winter wonderland. I may or may not have tears streaming down my face and sandals stretched over my winter boots...

  1. Book for snow! I hate it too, I also hate the bright glare it adds to my pictures :( I can't wait until spring! On a happy note, I love your blazer and stripped blouse combo :)

    1. Thanks!
Also, do you use any photo-editing programs? They're pretty good about balancing out the color/brightness in photos! These ones I posted today were pretty dark before I edited them!

  2. Very cute purse! Only $9?! I don't like the cold weather but I don't think I'm ready for spring clothes yet! I was shopping yesterday and saw all the spring fashion and it made me sad...haha. I like layering!

    1. Yeahhhhh! For $9, I'll buy just about anything. Especially if it involves leopard print.
Layering can be fun, but the cold is not fun. And I guess I'm still lamenting over not owning anything sequined, peplum'd, or oxblood in order to be trendy this winter. But there's still time to be trendy this spring, right?!

  3. It's so BEAUTIFUL to look at & then so HORRIBLE to be out in.
I have desired to go stir crazy and re-organize the whole house. So far I've only just pulled everything out from hiding. Oops!

    1. Haha I've gone crazy cleaning stuff out and attempting to redecorate. $60 later, my bathroom looks a little better but I can't seem to part with anything I'm cleaning out!

    1. Haha thanks! I'm very thankful for my built-in photographer. It's hard for him to deny me when he lives with me, and I'm the boss of his dinner. ;)

  5. I love that everything in this post is so affordable! So many bloggers look down upon wearing Forever 21, I don't understand! Haha

    1. I'm all about affordable, girl! One day I will be all about J. Crew and Anthropologie.. presumably when my bank account triples in size. Until then, I am all about trashy teenage girl stores and the clearance rack. So much can be found with a little bit of looking and style!

  7. I hate the snow for several reasons, but this is the first year I hate it for another reason - blogging! I don't even know what I'm going to do now that it's super snowy out and I wear ugly boots into work (where I change into flats). STUPID NORTHERN WINTERS.

also, i love your top but I've never even heard of that brand! Is it a store? do I sound like a moron?

    1. I took my first photos in the snow yesterday, and I literally sat in my car and flash-heated myself before getting out to take photos. It's getting desperate here in the frozen north.

    2. Oh and Love Culture is like a smaller, kinda younger version of Forever 21. I've seen a few popping up in Michigan but I don't think they're everywhere yet!
