Tweedy.

Blazer: H&M Top: H&M Pants: H&M Boots: Charlotte Russe Necklace: Forever 21 Earrings: Francesca's

Somehow I managed to take about two dozen shots of this outfit this morning and exactly zero of them had me looking at the camera. Well, I take that back. A few of them had me looking in the general direction of the camera, but I either had hair across my face from the wind or else it was just very obvious that at 8:30am this morning, my face still had not woken up entirely. So I hope you enjoy these clumsy-looking, cliché fashion-blogger poses this evening. Along with the clothing I am wearing.

I challenged myself to find a way to wear this tweed blazer. I bought it last fall when I started blogging, and it was one of those pieces I bought thinking more about the ways I could wear it on the blog rather than the ways I could wear it in real life and feel cute in it. Most of the time, it makes me feel like an 80 year old man, and no matter how much pink and pearls I pair with it, that feeling never quite fades. So I kind of went with it today and wore pants and a button up in the manliest color I own. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

  2. I've been looking for a blazer just like this for months now! I think you paired this once with a lace top? That was super cute. For the record, I don't think you look like an old man.

  3. You've now convinced me you weren't lying about blogging again. :) 2 posts in 2 days- yay! But darn you for wearing that H&M blazer that I wanted last year but couldn't find in my size anywhere. Oh well. You look far from manly, though. Just pretty and perfect for fall.

  4. it's so funny, i'm always self-conscious when i post a slew of photos where i'm not looking at the camera, but i never ever notice when other bloggers do it! i love this outfit. you look endlessly chic. i would look like such a dope in this, i think. sleeves and collars and layers make me feel clumsy, but you look gorg and so well put together. this would look so good with a pencil skirt on bottom too. oooh! or that shirt with a pencil skirt and a bold red lip for a holiday party at work! ~festive~

  5. Oh I really like the tweed :) But I know what you mean, there are some items you put an association with and you just can't shake it!

I only just had a chance to catch up with blogs and have just read your last 3 posts. Very glad your back to blogging, I love reading your posts :) And congrats on your 1 year anniversary by the way, hope you had a fun time! xxx

  6. I totally get what you're saying about the pictures because I always roll my eyes if the ones I post wind up all being "cliches". However I never notice it on other blogs! I really love this outfit and don't think it looks masculine at all. In fact other than the blazer it's a very feminine outfit. I especially love the color of your blouse!

  8. Grandpas have mad style, so why not pull inspiration from them? You take it and make it work for sure (without actually looking like grandpa)!

  9. You look so chic! I think pairing the tweed blazer with this teal blouse made it very modern and fun :) And those boots are from Charlotte?! No way, they look super expensive! Love them! P.S. I have a very long email response for you that I have yet to get to :)

  12. I disagree about the blazer. It is sophisticated & classic. You styled it well. I love to wear and own a lot of Blazers myself. I now need a Tweed one I am convinced. ;-) Love it with the Teal Button-up.

  13. I have a checked blazer like that and it has that british classic chic to it, which I totally love. I wear it in the fall only because it's just a winter piece. Try it with mustard and bugurndy tops, looks really great :-) Even with pencil skirts it makes such a sophisticated appearance :-)
