Top: Forever 21, old
Jeans: Macys, old
Purse: H&M, $18
Shoes: Charlotte Russe, $35
Bracelets: Various, probably mostly Forever 21/Charlotte Russe
Earrings: Windsor, $6
Nails: Essie's "Sunday Funday" from the Summer 2013 Collection
All-lace shirts aren't really in any more, are they? I don't think so. Because when I think about it, I don't really see them at Forever 21 anymore. Is it sad that I feel the be-all-end-all of what's "in" can be answered by the stock at Forever 21? Probably.. Either way, I can't let go of this shirt. I bought it when I was 20 pounds heavier, so it's not as fitted as I'd like it to be. But I. Love. This. Color. And yeah, I could go out and buy another top in this color that fits and stuff, but I mean. Whatever. I still am into all-lace tops. Even if Forever 21 isn't.
These jeans are actually from 20 pounds ago as well. They were super-tight skinny jeans when I bought them, but now they're more like boyfriend-ish jeans with a really, really big waist band. Which is perfect for where I wore this outfit: to a dinner event at my husband's work where I knew chicken wings and cookies were going to be served. Even with 6 wings and 3 cookies in my belly, I didn't quite fill out the waist band of these pants. I'm thinking I'll start buying all of my jeans 2 sizes too big. All the more room for chicken wings, my dear!
You look fabulous, Lynette, even if these close were from 20 lbs ago! I had a pair of jeans that I called my "sisterhood of the traveling pants" jeans because they fit perfectly when I was at my usual weight as well as when I gained (and lost) 40 lbs.
ReplyDeletePS: If I had that top, I'd wear it all the time. Lace is always in, bu that's just my opinion.
So cute! Love the lace shirt!

Your hair is absolutely stunnnnning in these pictures!! And yeah don't get rid of that shirt because that color looks great on you. I would still wear a shirt like that even if lace shirts aren't "in" anymore. It's still pretty and as long as you make it look good, that's what matters. I actually wore a non "in" maxi dress the other day and debating on posting it because of that, but the dress is still really pretty... so you may have inspired me to post something that isn't in :)
ReplyDeleteThat lace shirt is gorgeous on you, I can't even tell that it doesn't "fit." Same with the jeans. Your weight loss story is so inspirational, and you always look adorable!
ReplyDeletethat shirt is the perfect color on you. plus, it's super practical for early june in michigan, i imagine. enough coverage if it gets cool at night (does it do that?) and breezy enough to stay cool at the height of the warmth.
ReplyDeleteyour hair is SO big and you are SO tiny. it's the most lovely combo.
teach me to walk in tall heels?

I definitely think that lace shirts are still "in". And love the jeans on you. They fit perfect! You look gorgeous from head to toe :)
ReplyDeleteI was just at F21 a few weekends ago and I saw a bunch of all over lace shirts, but most were tank tops just because it's summer. i'm sure we'll continue to see the long sleeve versions when fall stock comes around! You look great BTW
ReplyDeleteHaha - I actually love the lace top on you - probably because it's a bit looser & more relaxed. Red is a great color on you :)

I still wear lace shirts! I love this one on you.
ReplyDeleteLove the top & purse today. Wings sound so great right now.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, lace is always in! And, I did see some lace at Forever 21 a few weeks ago, we're good! :)

Okay, I think lace is a classic, so you rock that shirt Lynette! I love the color too! And those jeans and wedges are fab! You look beautiful girl. Per usual! :P xo
ReplyDeleteI love the top with those jeans, so pretty and elegant, but casual and relaxed too.
ReplyDeleteI am loving those distressed rolled up jeans. Distressed to but not too much, if you know what I mean!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I LOVE chicken wings! What an adorable outfit. And whoops for all lace shirts not being "in" I just bought a new one ;) You look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit, Lynette. I also love lace tops, and the color of this one looks stunning on you with your blonde hair and dark eyes. Also, I love how your pants fit you. Do they need to be belted? I get super crabby when my pants are too big and I have to hike them up all the time. (I also get super annoyed when my pants are too small...so I wear dresses often to avoid too big/too small waistbands...) Anyways...I love this outfit - you look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! Seriously! Love this outfit and the secy lace top:)
