I almost didn't post this look because I knew I'd posted it here this past winter, but I decided that it was accessorized differently enough to be worth posting. I think I like this look better, though it definitely doesn't feel very summery to me. But Michigan hasn't been acting very summery this week. Thankfully, I'm heading down south to Tennessee next weekend for some much (much much much much) needed relaxation, and the forecast looks nice and toasty. Because this wimpy girl practically needs gloves and a parka if it's not at least 80 degrees out. Am I the only one??
And please pardon my wrinkly skirt. I hate ironing and often convince myself that my wrinkly clothes "aren't that wrinkly" and that I'll be fine wearing them. But the blog spares no detail and no secret, and forces me to realize: I need to start ironing more. Whoopsies.
this is remixing at its best! i love seeing how outfits can transition between seasons using different accessories, etc. this is the peplum skirt that inspired me to get a peplum skirt! you look really good in light pink. i feel like a lot of blondes don't, but you really do.
ReplyDeletemy ironing secrets (even though i do just end up ironing a lot): hair straightener and the downy wrinkle release spray. not together. spray the wrinkle release the night before you wear it and it seriously takes it from too-wrinkly-to-wear to not-that-wrinkly-at-all, if even wrinkly at all.
i'm so glad you're showing us what you wear again! i was feeling so uninspired by my closet. i'll be copying this soon!

what? I didn't even notice a single wrinkle. Maybe because I know this is a real person blog and not a fake "I just put this on for blogging!" outfit. Your waist looks tiny!
ReplyDeleteI actually just bought an almost identical skirt at TJ Maxx this past weekend (for only 7 bucks!!) and was gonna request that you show another way you styled it cause girl I'm needing help! I can always count on you for inspiration :) And ironing? Who does that anymore? Throw it in the dryer!

I'm convinced that clothes loose their wrinkles when you wear them. Whatever gets you through the day, right?
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - I'm always FREEZING! and what wrinkles?! your ensemble looks great, and you look great, too!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit and agree that the accessories are different enough from the first look. Also, please tell me how you got your bun so perfect?!

I totally agree - the outfits are definitely different enough, and I wouldn't have noticed if you had not mentioned anything. I love the peplum with the stripes - so classy! It's been cold in TO too! It definitely should not be jacket weather right now :P Have a lovely weekend xo
ReplyDeleteI love this!! Stripes, peplums and ankle strap heels are all so trendy right now but all of them have a classic feel too, which I love.

I feel creepy for asking this but where in Tennessee? I'm from there and am just curious!
ReplyDeleteso much to love about this outfit. Navy and pink is one of my favorite color combos. You look stunning, love. If you get a sec, I'd love to hear your thoughts on my latest. xo
