My Everyday Eye Makeup Tutorial! (and mini Maybelline The Nudes Palette Review & Swatches!)

Good morning and happy Saturday, friends! Ever since my first round of blogging (about two years ago!), one of things I've had requested again and again is how I do my makeup how you see me wearing it on the blog (or Instagram, or wherever you know me from!). I am about as technologically advanced as the average nursing home resident, so I've avoided making videos at all costs, but I finally sucked it up and made a video tutorial of how I do my eye makeup! Check it out below!

The palette I used for this video is the Maybelline The Nudes palette. I picked this up at a drugstore a few weeks ago and to be honest, I wasn't crazy about it at first. I've been using a higher-end palette for the last year (Lorac's Pro Palette to be exact) and it's hard to go from using a high-quality eye shadow to a slightly-less quality eye shadow because the consistency, pigmentation and ease of use is just completely different. But after playing with it a little, I really like the Maybelline The Nudes palette. The colors are perfect for a neutral palette and for being a drugstore product, the shadows are generally quite pigmented and blendable. For 12 eyeshadows for around $10, it can't be beat!

  3. I feel like you'd be a really good painter with those blending skills! :) This was super helpful...seeing you work the edges/harshness of that bronze color gives me confidence to try it, because I always stop there and wipe it off not realizing I can blend it in with those other colors.

  7. What a great makeup tutorial vid! Eye makeup can be the trickiest, relative to other focus areas being highly dependent on a number of factors. Thank you for creating such a wonderful video! Stay beautiful, Lynette!

  9. It seems like switching to another product was not a bad decision after all. Well, investing in high-end cosmetics is great. However, there are products that offer the same texture and consistency in a more affordable price. You just have to try and experiment working with them, and make sure that they don't cause irritation or allergic reactions afterwards.

  10. 5 years ago I had warts, I was treated with some liquid applied to the warts they continued to grow and spread... The next 2 doctors did laser surgery to remove them. 1 year after the surgery, they grew back close to where the 1st ones were' so I was finally told it was hpv. I have had it for very long time, I contract it from my cheated boyfriend and I found out he was also infected and I end up the relationship between us. the warts was so embarrasses because it started spreading all over I have be dealing with this things for very long time the last treatment I take was About 2 years ago I applied natural treatment from Dr onokun herbal cure, a week after applying the treatment all the warts was gone. it's now 2 years and some months I don't have single wart or any symptoms of hpv. wow"" it's great, Dr onokun has finally cured me.
