Four Eyes

Blazer: H&M, $35
Cardigan: Old Navy, $5
Necklace: Gap, $5
Jeans: Rue 21, $9
Boots: Old Navy, $30

Matt was still getting over his cold yesterday, so we decided to see if we could photograph indoors. I don't know if it's just the cold winters here or if I'm coming down with something too, but I couldn't find enough layers to wear yesterday. Three wasn't enough. I couldn't even bring myself to don heels like I normally do. In fact, if I'd been able to belt a snuggie and be considered socially acceptable, I probably would've worn that.

One thing I've discovered about the indoors, though: I look about ten times paler than usual. Thank God I didn't wear a skirt today, or my bare legs might blind you all. Eek! Paleness like this is almost enough to bring a girl out of her tanning-bed-retirement. Just kidding. It's not enough. But it's close.

And here's something you guys don't know about me.. I wear glasses. Often:

I just don't like mine, and I prefer myself without them, so I don't ever photograph with them. But in case you were wondering, yes, I am blind as a bat.

    1. Hahaha I consider it tweed! It's soft and thin, but I prefer that over the thick wool tweed I've seen because it'll be easier to wear year-round! :) They always have a ton of them at H&M for under $50.

  5. You are gorg in glasses! Stop it! :) And I hate indoor pictures. We've tried them before and they always look dreadful. Looks like you found a spot with some nice natural light, though. :)

    1. Aw, thanks Morgan. <3 Indoor pictures are rough, but the front of our apartment building is floor-to-ceiling windows, and the reflection of all that God-awful snow lights up the inside of our building, haha. So we do okay. :)

  13. a cardigan under a blazer? I MUST TRY THIS. for someone who doesn't wear cardigans, you sure know how to make them look great! ;)

And I just read your Liebster post - I think you def. look best as a blond.

and your wedding dress was beautiful. I need a full body shot to pin on my "not a wedding board" board.

    1. I'M KILLIN' THE CARDIGAN THING! Seriously. I nearly walk out of my house with that tangerine cardigan on almost every day. I've put a ban on buying anything else in that color because if I'm gonna wear tangerine, it's gonna be with that cardigan, hands down.

My whole life I always said "If I could go blonde, I'd do it." And then my husband one day suggested, "What if you can?" (Sometimes I think I never completed a single thought before him.) So then I tried it. And everyone seems to like it, except my dad. He always says "You just look best with the hair color you came out with." And pretty much the only opinion that matters is my dads, so..... :) I love the blonde too, though!

I actually made a post or two about my wedding. Here is one with a few good shots of my dress:

True story: That dress was only $180 and it's actually a white bridesmaid dress. I was all about doing things cheaply and simply for my wedding. :)
