The Obvious Look.

Blazer: H&M, $35
Top: H&M, $18
Pants: Forever 21, $23
Heels: Forever 21, $20
Necklace: Forever 21

When I first got this tweed blazer, this is the outfit that came to mind first. But whenever I got ready for work and wanted to wear this blazer, it's like a tried to come up with something more creative than "the obvious look". And therefore, did not wear this look until 2 months after owning this blazer.

Which was stupid, because I think it's cute. Boring, albeit, but cute.

And there's something about this blazer that makes me want to wear my glasses. Hm.

I'm leaving for Atlanta on Monday. Can I get three shouts of glory for the absence of this in my life?:

Snow, not work. Work is fine. Snow is not. Snow can rot. But thankfully, the weather for Atlanta reportedly will be in the 50's at least. I'm going to Atlanta for a conference with  my husband's work so I will be inside most of the day anyway, but it's lovely knowing that should I look out the window, I won't see a foot of snow laughing at me.

I'll still be posting throughout the week though, so I'll still be around. You were all going to miss me, weren't you? ;)

  1. Another great look Lynette. You always look fantastic with a blazer on and always like yourself. I like the sexy specs on you, too. In these photos, you look very much like a distant cousin of mine. She is a Gorgeous Blonde, like you. =)

THANKS LYNETTE about the latest comment. The Baby is here. I just still have some back-logged outfits to log in. Here is me announcing the Baby's Birth.

    1. Stalkers are welcomed here! ;) & thanks! I am super finicky about my foundations and won't usually buy one until I read the reviews, so I tried to be as specific as possible!

  5. I love this look, sometimes the most simple and 'obvious' look is the best. You look lovely. Yey for getting away from the snow for a bit, have a lovely time :)

  7. i love blazers, but i always have a hard time finding one with a good shape. They are either baggy or too short. Where do you usually find them?

    1. I usually get my best ones at HM! They're usually $35-50 but well worth it because they fit so well and last long!

  8. I love this look! To tell you the truth, I would say I wear "the obvious choice" like half of the week - there are usually a few days I get creative juices going, but when it comes to work most days I'm stumbling around my closet at 6:30 in the morning grabbing things that match. I happen to love your "obvious" look though - you look fab! :)

  10. I love H&M blazers! The style, fit, quality...everything about them:)! Your tweed one is so cute! It looks great with the black capri slacks and sharp toe pumps! It would probably look really cute with an a-line or pencil skirt too:)!
